Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings and form the basis of your contract with WhereinItaly LTD, operating under the name Wherein Cooking Holidays.

1. CONTRACT
All bookings are subject to these terms and conditions. By booking with Wherein Cooking Holidays, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of yourself and your party. A contract is established when we accept payment toward the booking or issue a Confirmation/Invoice, whichever is sooner.

2. PRICE
Our tour prices are listed in GBP (British Pound Sterling) as Wherein Cooking Holidays is legally registered in the United Kingdom. Prices shown in USD or other currencies are approximate and based on exchange rates at the time. Due to currency fluctuations, the amount charged at payment may vary depending on your financial provider’s rates. We recommend confirming conversion rates with your bank before booking. For further inquiries on pricing, please contact us.

3. DEPOSIT
A deposit of £299 per person is due at booking, refundable up to 240 days before the start of the holiday. If your booking is not accepted, or if unforeseen circumstances prevent us from delivering the holiday, this deposit will be refunded.

4. FINAL BALANCE
The full balance is due 63 days before the holiday’s start date unless stated otherwise at booking. This deadline will be on the confirmation invoice, with a reminder sent to your registered email. Failure to pay the balance by the due date will be considered a cancellation, and the deposit will be retained as a cancellation charge. If you must cancel, please contact us to discuss options.

4.1 CANCELLATION BY YOU
Cancellation fees are as follows:
i) 240+ days before start: full refund - £60 cancellation fee.
ii) 239-64 days before: full deposit cost.
iii) 63-29 days before: 50% of the holiday cost.
iv) 28-0 days before: 100% of the holiday cost.
We are not liable for cancellations or holiday impacts due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or adverse weather.

5. TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants on our trips. Guests will not be allowed to join the group unless they provide evidence of a valid travel insurance policy. Your trip coordinator will verify and record your insurance details at the start of your journey. Your travel insurance must include medical coverage, repatriation, and emergency rescue. We strongly recommend selecting a policy that also covers personal liability, trip cancellation or curtailment, and loss of luggage or personal belongings. If you plan to use insurance provided through your credit card, you must present proof of purchase for the trip (e.g., a receipt or credit card statement) under your name. Please contact your bank to confirm the coverage details, the name of the insurer, and the emergency contact number.

6. TRANSFERS
Transfers included in your holiday are group-based. Before booking flights, ensure your arrival aligns with the group transfer schedule. Private transfers can be arranged for additional cost if required. Wherein Cooking Holidays is not liable for private transfer costs resulting from flight delays; these should be claimed with your insurer or airline.

7. DELAYS
For flights booked by Wherein Cooking Holidays, we are not responsible for delays or changes by the airline.

8. LOST LUGGAGE
We are not liable for luggage lost by airlines but will assist in retrieval where possible.

9. ACCOMMODATION
We reserve the right to modify advertised accommodations or itineraries as necessary. We aim to provide a suitable alternative if needed.

10. SAFETY & HYGIENE
In the kitchen, proper clothing and footwear are required for safety and hygiene.

11. RESPONSIBILITIES
We are not liable for any illness, personal injury, or death from activities outside those we provide.

12. MINIMUM NUMBER
Tours are subject to minimum bookings; we reserve the right to cancel if numbers are not met. Full refunds will be given if we cancel within four weeks of departure.

13. REPORTING A PROBLEM
Any issues should be reported immediately to our representative. Unresolved issues must be formally reported within 28 days of return.

14. PASSPORT
A valid passport is required for all travellers.

15. TIPPING
Tipping customs differ across countries, but it is a common practice in Europe and a valued way to show appreciation for services provided during your tour. While tipping is not mandatory, it can be a thoughtful way to acknowledge the efforts of those who assist you throughout your journey. At the end of your holiday, our team will place an envelope in your room as a convenient option for those who wish to leave a tip. This is entirely optional, and there is no obligation to contribute. Any tip you choose to give is a personal gesture of gratitude, and the amount is entirely up to you, based on your experience.

16. AMENDMENTS TO TERMS
Wherein Cooking Holidays reserves the right to amend these terms. Updated terms will be posted on our website, with notification within one month. Continued use of the site confirms acceptance of changes.
